Headhunters: Pinpoint Partners
Anyone know anything about Pinpoint Partners or their track record? They're based out of the UK but somehow are trying to get analysts to the buy-side in SF, Boston, and NYC. Don't think their connections are very strong and their biz model seems to just be sending blast emails to IB analysts on Linkedin. Terms of service indicate they get paid for each candidate they put in front of a bank for any interview, with an additional commission if that candidate signs an offer letter. Seems shady to me, I think their staff is much smaller than what is conveyed. Would love to hear from anyone who has had a positive/negative experience with them. Thanks in advance.
They definitely spam everyone with the exact same role with positions that aren't considered that great anyways. Have referred friends to them and many times, they don't get a single response.
These guys are some of the worst people on the planet. I'm not convinced that they aren't selling candidates information for money to someone.
I did get interviews for a solid FOF shop but agreed they spam a lot and most opps suck

Their business model is 100% spam anyone on LinkedIn in IB openings with little regard to what coverage/product group the person is currently in. That being said, throw enough darts and you'll eventually land on a bulls eye which is why they can promote themselves as closing a lot of candidates. Source: I get sent these emails on an almost weekly basis since I started.
IF I GET ONE MORE FUCKING EMAIL FROM THESE GUYS....
they suck - bombard me, the associate I worked under this summer, and everyone I know in banking with bullshit "buy-side" openings
They also greatly inflate the quality of the ops. Leading global bank turns out to be some Credit Agricole or something. Nothing against them, but they are the last name I think of when I think "leading global bank".
Who and why anyone would hire those clowns is beyond my comprehension... If a PE firm based in the US hires them for recruiting, that says so much about the firm. Stay away from them and maybe their clients.
They sent us a resume of a guy with no finance experience who was 2 years out of school and worked as a shift manager at Burger King.
Avoid at all costs.
worst recruiting company on the planet, would avoid!
