Headhunters - Signing contracts
As an analyst, do you typically sign some type of contract with headhunters before working with them?
If you end up getting the offer and accepting it, how do they get compensated?
Thanks.

pretty sure the company goes and hires headhunters to contact you. so that might be where the compensation comes from
It depends where you are. You never have to pay them! Yes, the company eventually has to pay them. Again, depending on your location, you might even reach out to headhunters yourself who then contact you once they can find you something.
The company pays the headhunter a % of your salary as compensation when they hire you.
You owe nothing to headhunters and they also owe you nothing. You are just an instrument for them to get paid for closing the request - headhunters work for the company they are searching a talent for.
The only exception - companies (rare thing, in fact) which business is dedicated to founding vacancies for their clients-job seekers. These companies are not 'recruitment agencies' or 'executive search firms', and have almost nothing in common with them. Just do not get wrong about it
To answer your other question: no, you do not sign a contract with them.
This is helpful. Thanks guys.
