Healthcare incubator/accelerator or IT consulting internship if wanting MBB full time?
Pretty much the title. I got an offer for an internship for a healthcare and life sciences incubator that is fairly well-known and successful, but new and doesn't have a big brand name. I'd learn a lot and meet really influential people, however, and I don't know when else I'd be able to get into this startup space with relatively low risk to myself.
The IT consulting offer is entirely implementation and from a local no-name firm, but the hours will be short (40 hrs/week). I don't really like IT, however.
My goal is to best position myself for MBB full-time recruiting.

It seems like you should take the startup. Neither firm seems to have a huge brand name, but one will allow you to do interesting work that you're actually interested in. Seems like an easy choice then. If you thought consulting might be better just because it's consulting, that's not the case at all (at least for MBB).
Anyway, if you can network a bit, you should probably be fine to at least get an interview in the fall. I'd pick the experience where you will have actual, meaningful things to talk about in your interview. Especially for the McKinsey interview, you need to have some pretty cool stories to survive the behavioral.
I would do the startup. Consulting experience isn't necessary to make it into MBB and the startup work is way cooler to talk about in an interview compared to boring tech implementation
