HEC MSc Strategic Management, EHDEC MiM Financial economics or ESSEC MiM to do M&A?
Hi all,
I am writing this topic because I am facing a huge dilemma.
I got accepted at the three following programmes:
-
EDHEC MiM Financial Economics: double degree MiM (Grande Ecole) + MSc in Corporate Finance --> 2 years programme, CFA and Société Générale partnership, M1 + M2.
-
HEC MSc Strategic Management: M2 only, but huge networking with very large alumni network and some professionals from MBB as teachers + HEC is the biggest brand + certificate in M&A.
-
ESSEC MiM: M1 + M2, Grande Ecole, very respected in France and Europe, big alumni network.
My desire is to start my career working in corporate finance and more specifically in M&A (if possible) in a top tier IB or a prestigious strategy consulting firm.
Here is my profile:
I have got a French baccalaureate with the highest distinction.
I will be graduating from King's College London this year with a BSc Economics & Management, probably with first honours.
I had the opportunity to get a summer internship in London at Lloyds Banking Group in Risk Finance (10 weeks).
I have a couple of other small professional experiences, but not linked to finance.
Tuition fees and location has no importance at all in the decision.
Which one do you think is the best? Would any of these programs allow me to break into M&A - Corporate Finance? Does an MSc (not Grande Ecole) guarantee jobs only outside France?
Many thanks!
