Help a fellow monkey out - what are some worthwhile electives?
Experienced Monkeys,
I am a finance/econ double major at a non-target. I have a few spare electives to take, so what are some good electives that would help me out in a career of S&T/IB? What electives do you wish you would have taken in college? Do they even matter at all or should i just take How To Take a Shit 101 for an easy A?
Thanks
How to Sandusky girls is definitely a class worth taking
Take BS classes that will help you improve your GPA, unless something really interests you. S&T/IB folk don't give a hoot about your transcript. Work experience stands for way more than "relevant classes". Have fun in your electives.
In that order.

If you're looking @ IB firms with little formal training I would recommend accounting classes
Alternatively, take bullshit classes to pump up the GPA, and invest $3K in the Becker CPA review course - gives you everything and more that you'll ever need to know about Accounting as a banker, and doesn't hurt your GPA.
Aside from GPA booster, I think the best elective class anyone could take is Logic (usually a phil course). It wasn't easy in my case that class is very valuable for almost anything (interviews, GMAT, day to day convos, etc)
Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated. anyone else?
If you don't already know how to golf, taking a golfing class. Nothing like talking to clients on the green, smoking an cigar.
A class that teaches critical thinking might be a good choice. I took a class called "Making my own choices" that really reduced my tendency to ask stupid questions.
That's hilarious, man. Golden. SB for you. Fuck those guys who like to get other, more experienced people's opinions. I'm sure you're gonna get real far in life.
