Help me pick a color for my track car.
Which one looks best? Will be primarily a weekend car for trackdays up in Monticello.
Thanks.

this isn't a "share pictures of your car" thread.
A+ for effort though.
The Corvette is a beast. I'm not sure what kind that is, but in that price range, I've heard much better things from the Lotus Evora 400 on the track.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/jalopnik.com/the-lotus-evora-400-is-the-be…
"How to describe the Evora 400 on track? It’s difficult to do without sounding a bit like a teenage girl gushing over a pop star.
The car feels as though it is rotating around me, a perfectly balanced ballerina dancing through each corner. If only every car could be like this on track! The ease with which the Evora 400 accomplishes the most difficult tasks would no doubt inspire countless drivers to greatness.
But track time cannot last forever, and I must return the Lotus to pit lane for the next driver. However, after nearly a half-hour of being driven hard, the Evora requires nothing. No brake fluid, no cooldown laps. The crew simply checks tire pressures, inserts the next driver, and sends the little Lotus back to work.
A McLaren 570S could not do this. Nor could a Porsche 911 GT3. And yet the Evora 400 will do it again and again throughout the course of the day, and it will do it in crippling heat. The brakes don’t fade. The tires don’t go away. It is the Sebastian Coe of track cars. It is, quite simply, the best street car I’ve ever driven on track, bar none."
The ZO6 Corvette is a bit overpowered. If you're looking for a the best drivers Corvette, I'd look into the Grand Sport with the ZO7 package(but you may wanna get the ZO6 for the badass power- it's overpowered nature can make it a plus at the same time- not to mention you can get fat discounts on them right now as the ZR1 is just rolling into dealerships and they are having a hard time selling the Vettes). For color, that's purely subjective, but I'd go with either red or silver. I've seen a cleanly washed red ZO6 before and it looks beautiful! Silver is the safer more conservative pick, so it's up to whether you want to have the flashy color or blend in a little more.
the pictures above are actually of the GS (Grand Sport). Only difference b/t GS and Z06 is the engine. Bodywork, brakes, suspension -- all from the Z06. Visually nearly identical.
to the guy above, yes the Lotus is nice, but not as "streetable". It's a bit too hardcore for me. The GT3 obviously is a gem (and will appreciate in value in the future). However it wouldn't be financially wise for me to drop $150k on a track toy.
*as for color, I'm leaning a bit towards the Sebring Orange, being that it's a 2019 exclusive color and really looked sweet at the NY Auto show. Will check it out in person this weekend. what I'm concerned about is whether it's too flashy, considering state troopers already love me :(
Get an Ariel Atom instead.
I know Corvettes have come a long way in terms of driving and handling, but I would still always steer towards a European option in a similar price range, especially for track.
Personally I'd go for a C63s, M4 GTS, or Audi RS5, or at least test drive them to see how they stand up to the vette.
i've visited every car museum in the world during my past few years of extended travel. Japan, Germany, the UK, Italy, Michigan, Kentucky, SouthCarolina (bmw), Alabama (Mercedes) etc etc
If you scrutinize the parts suppliers, with globalisation the way it is, cars have really been commoditized in the past 10 yes. one example would be how Magna (german company) supplies virtually all the sport bucket seats for every manufacturer in the world, from Porsches to Corvettes to RS, to AMG to M.
is this how you're spending all that cash you made trading from your mom's house last summer?
hey if he made enough for a car I'd also consider trading his mom for cash too
Red with go-fast stripes.
Is this your first track car OP? Have you ever raced or tracked a car?
have done many hot laps at the Nurburgring, Laguna Seca, and Silverstone. all in rental track cars, however. (my current car, an SL passed down from my father, doesn't qualify, since its a convertible. it's also more of a GT cruiser than a track car).
youself?
Huge car guy who has spent a lot of time at the track. I just see a lot of people on the track with fast cars and no idea what they are doing and I wanted to try to help you avoid an expensive mistake if that was the case. I'm a huge Porsche fan and have owned quite a few so my vote is with the Cayman GT4 because they are amazing cars. I imagine your depreciation would be much less than the Corvette as well.
silver
Orange or yellow Vette
Traditional Corvette livery is blue and white. I would go with Admiral Blue with white stripes.
This is definitely the best call. Fallback would be the cherry red, which I think also looks great
Port Ricky Agreed
Get this and a chauffeur. Driving fucking sucks.
