Help me transfer out of JMSB concordia plz

im in my first semester at concordia, I have read that mcgill is better than concordia jmsb for a internation student who won't stay montreal after graduated(cause french for me is 100000000x difficult than english)

so is it hard to transfer to mcgill? what average gpa do i need, moreover I am required to take esl courses in first year , is it counted in the gpa or they just look into my math, economics , commerce and IT( reqired to take) gpa?

when should I start apply? at the end of first semester or the end of first year? I do not want to waste credits during the transfering, as you know the tution fee for interstudent is expensive.
as an international student , does I requir to have a tofle score? if it does, how many it is required and when should I take a exam?

thanks for your help

Well, you've done your research - yes McGill is way better. In terms of quality, and brand name. Out of high school you need 90%+ to get looked at by the McGill staff.. My guess is have at LEAST a 3.3 from your current school. But a 3.0 won't get you in.

The way the BCom is structured is 1st year is only core classes (mix of intro to acctg, mktg, fin, etc) and then when you choose your major you take more specific classes. So i wouldnt worry about losing credits, you can probs transfer them over, and forget the grim past youre having at conc.

for me, in my first year I am actually not involved in core courses. im a international student ,so I have to complete 30 fundermental credits which are include ESL math economics and information teconology. will these credits be transfered without waste?

if you are a canadian, what courses would you study in first year?

As someone mentioned, call he BCom office or even better, go straight there. Its right on the first floor when you walk into the building (opposite Omni hotel, corner McTavish/Sherbrooke). Advisors are super friendly in person so you should be able to get more info. Id be surprised if your fundamental credits don't xfer, but yes you should ask.
