Help out a poor little freshman
Hey guys, just looking for some opinions.
I'm a freshman at a semi-target/target (whatever you want to call it; I'm not letting that limit me though), and looking to get an internship next summer, but right now, I'm thinking of trying to do an internship during the year a few days a week after classes.
So far, I've been to recruiting events, contacted employers, and even had an interview, so I'm extremely happy with the results I've been getting, and with the feedback I've been getting. Without trying to come of as arrogant, I thought it was going to be a lot harder haha.
Anyway, I've spoken to some local VC firms and am setting up some interviews with start-ups that they are funding. I guess my question is, should I bother? I am interested in start-ups and I think it would be good experience since I don't have any real work experience, but ultimately I (think, four years is a long time haha) want to end up in trading. Will this have any relevance beside filling some space on my resume?
Any thoughts, tips, advice, critique, insults (clever ones) are greatly appreciated.
