HELP!! Senior year, where to turn, what to do?

Hi WSOers, I am writing to you in desperation. I am a senior at a top 20 Liberal Arts College graduating in May and am hoping to work in NYC. After having an internship in Finance this summer, but not in IB, and failing at FT IB recruiting, I'm wondering where to turn now?

What other roles in Finance recruit throughout the year? Who/what is hiring right now? Is there any structure to this recruiting? Just how fucked am I?

Thanks in advance for your candor and for your anonymous, yet sincere, advice.

Your'e Panicking. STOP! ...hammertime

You don't really give much to go on, so here is some general advice: 1.) Are you aware of why you failed FT recruiting? If not try to figure that out. 2.) a.) If you want to pursue IB and think you are in a position where you can do it, then start networking at smaller firms and boutiques. Its doable but not guaranteed. b.) network with alum or others with the same non-finance background

Hey Guys,

Thanks for following up! Yea, I'm graduating in May 2017.

I think my failure thus far can probably be attributed to not having strictly IB intern experience (although I interned at a FinTech firm where I participated in corporate valuation), and addition to that, I'd say my school's lack of a huge alumna base in finance hasn't helped. I came close to an offer at 2 middle markets, but with the extremely limited number of full time spots, I've fallen on the wrong side of the line thus far.
