HELP: Sophomore Summer - Nothing to Do - Am i Screwed??

Hi Everyone,

I'm a current sophomore attending a non target - did not find out I wanted to finance (IB/HE/PE) until a month ago. I know I'm late to internships (there's barely anything open right now), and my summer plans seem pretty empty except the following:

  • Big 4 Summer Leadership Program or Disney Summer Leadership Program
  • Continue working at my current internship in the FALL (at a manufacturing firm doing accounting/admin work)

How can I prepare myself for the upcoming recruiting season/career over summer? I don't know crap about IB as I barely discovered it, so I don't know if cold calling and offering my "help" would work out.

Any tips?

Recruiting for SA 2019 has already started, so you're a bit late to the party, especially coming from a non target. At this stage, since I assume you haven't networked at all and have no OCR at your disposal, your best bet would probably be to hit up as many boutiques as you can and try to get something there. Try to learn as much as you can about the industry in the meantime.

To infinity... and beyond!
