Here is a Good question to help settle a bet

A couple of buddies of mine and I were talking about felonies(I just a fucking DUI) and they said that it's going to be impossible for me to get a banking job with a felony on my record. I said I know a guy who was charged with embezzelment(he took 15k from a bank) and he works for a small boutique firm. So I am gonna have a hard time or since it's only a DUI I will be fine?

It's not going to sink you but it won't help at all. Could at least be a talking point to explain how you got your life "refocused" yada yada yada. Learn from the experience, kick ass at your school, and network. If you really want a job you should be able to find one.

I have had friends with similar situations get into top law schools with DUI's and law schools care a lot more. The key is to take action to show that you have learned. One of my friends that had a dui, mip, and public urination was the new member educator for his fraternity after he got his shit together. He was able to say that he mentored the younger kids, let them learn from his mistakes, and he can gladly say that none of them have been arrested for anything alcohol related because they learned from his mistakes etc etc. This might even be to much to do, but you should be fine.

ToBankOrNotToBank:
seriously? DUI is along the lines of not removing leaves from your street? I think one of those two may be responsible for way more deaths each year... I get the feeling you guys take DUI way too lightly

Yeah, its sad how many people die in leaf related injuries every year.

Best bet, and this may be to little to late but is to plea bargain it down in some way to a misdemeanor. (although if your here asking about its probably the first). I agree with the life learning experience angle.
