Hermes v.s. Ferragamo ties
What’s better?
Hermes or Salvatore Ferragmo ties

Personally, I would think someone has no clue what they're doing if they wore either. Buy something from Attolini, Kiton, etc... and use a search engine to find well priced ones. They aren't much more than those brands, and sometimes less, but far far higher quality.
You think so? The brands you mentioned have far different vibes and patterns. As someone who appreciates a Kiton tie or Charvet, I think a printed silk hermes or ferragamo actually has it's place in the workplace. Not saying you're wrong as this is super subjective obviously but I wouldn't think someone with an hermes or ferragamo has no clue how to pick a tie
Lmao I think no one really cares ahahahahah. I have all sorts of tie and always wear a simple black one from YSL
Worked in London and Switzerland and at both places super normal to wear either but seriously Gamo all the way :D
Who even wears ties anymore, especially now
Hermes is probably preferred relative to Ferragamo just because the Hermes ties are so coveted by bankers.
Personally I prefer wearing some of the more understated patters on the Italian ties from Ferragamo Zegna and Canali. Have some super basic Versaces as well I wear
Both brands make great ties. Personally, I mostly wear E. Marinella ties, they're hand-made in Naples and are more or less in line with Hermes prices, but the quality is much better imho.
E Marinella makes gorgeous ties. Kiton makes cool ties, so does charvet.

I honestly think Salvatore Ferragamo and Hermès ties are the best (for quality, look, availability, designs / style, etc.). I’ve been trying for years to find ties that I genuinely like better… to no avail. I have a few Kamakura ties that I toss in the rotation (that are actually quite nice)…but they certainly are not on the same level. Any others worth trying? I find most Charvet, Zegna, Eton, etc. ties to either be too wide, material too thick, or the designs a bit “dated”… maybe I’ll give another look…
