You think so? The brands you mentioned have far different vibes and patterns. As someone who appreciates a Kiton tie or Charvet, I think a printed silk hermes or ferragamo actually has it's place in the workplace. Not saying you're wrong as this is super subjective obviously but I wouldn't think someone with an hermes or ferragamo has no clue how to pick a tie

 

Both brands make great ties. Personally, I mostly wear E. Marinella ties, they're hand-made in Naples and are more or less in line with Hermes prices, but the quality is much better imho. 

 

I honestly think Salvatore Ferragamo and Hermès ties are the best (for quality, look, availability, designs / style, etc.). I’ve been trying for years to find ties that I genuinely like better… to no avail. I have a few Kamakura ties that I toss in the rotation (that are actually quite nice)…but they certainly are not on the same level. Any others worth trying? I find most Charvet, Zegna, Eton, etc. ties to either be too wide, material too thick, or the designs a bit “dated”… maybe I’ll give another look…
