HF analyst resumes
Anyone know what junior HF analyst resumes typically look like?
I did 2-3 years in banking then 2-3 years at a HF, and am having trouble making the HF portion of my resume take up as much room as the banking portion.
I could easily do so if I just threw in a few bullets on specific investments - but I am not sure if that's kosher / advisable (if it is, please let me know). Of the handful of HF analyst resumes I've seen, they've all been pretty high-level. I'm totally fine with that, but just suspect the optical disparity may come across as odd to some, given that I'm recruiting for HF roles.
Any thoughts?
I usually go with: + General description + Overview of my coverage + Quantitative description of individual performance (more relevant if you had a track record) + A few bullets with specific ideas and performance: no one has ever pointed this out as not being kosher, and gives ppl an idea of what i look at
only mention performance if you had discretion, anything else is just non-sense (unless your idea was invested in); mention your strategy specifically - it always puzzles me when i read CVs on which ppl write "value-based" and the portfolio turnover is 100%+
