HFF Compensation vs JLL
I have an analyst offer from both JLL and HFF. I was wondering which shop is better in terms of compensation at analyst level and future career growth? Which is more prestigious? More capital markets side.

HFF all day
Agree with this. At the analyst level, compensation at JLL is low and your bonus is not particularly transparent. At HFF, the compensation is higher and more transparent (i.e. you'll know roughly what % of a deal will be coming your way if it closes).
Prestige and exit ops depend on the team your are on, but in aggregate, I would go with HFF if the prestige thing motivates you.
If you have the offers don't you already know what the compensation is?
Prestige will vary wth market and product type, but generally HFF seems to have a slightly more prestigious reputation if only due to their smaller size and narrower scope. I would expect comp to be slightly higher at the analyst level at HFF.
As for career growth, both carry heavyweight name recognition, impossible to put one over the other in terms of "resume strength" without knowing market and product. As for mobility within the company, JLL has far more groups/offices/products and will offer more mobility within the company.
Work in REPE and both are great shops!
Currently an analyst at one of those firms on their debt side if you want to PM me
What is HFF base pay for an analyst like? I'm sure it varies by location, but can anyone give a range?
Capital markets side in London is about GBP 40k + bonus
I love the irony of this now
HFF. Better platform. Better pay, Better exit opps. Especially on the Capital Markets side.
Won't matter in the coming months...
JLL acquired HFF bro..
and how does the OP have 2 offers without knowing the salary?
