Hi - Been with the markets group of a central bank
To introduce myself: I've been with the markets group of a central bank for the past three years, mostly in analysis/monitoring of domestic and foreign money markets and FX.
In August I'm heading to the UK to do the econ masters at LSE and in a few weeks I'm sitting the CFA Level 3 exam. After I finish my masters, I'd like to make the jump to the private sector, ideally in fixed income Asset Management.
So I'm hoping to stick around the site for a while, to find out more about the industry and to get a better idea of what I can be doing over the next few months to have the best chances of ending up where I'd like. There's lots to learn - particularly some of the idiosyncrasies of applying for jobs and working in the States. Plus, it's an interesting time to watch and discuss the markets with people who are interested and have a view.
Lot of LSE people at PIMCO.
Good luck
welcome!
