Hidie Ho, Fellas

Hello potential networking contacts! I'm a guy who's successfully leveraged a military career into a retail banking career into a fledgling Private Banking/WM career, which is a brass bitch to do, especially in a small, albeit affluent market. I do fairly well, but I'm starting to get bored with managing rich people's money, and I'm looking around to see what opportunities are out there to exploit, if any. I'm a non-target school MBA candidate, and I'm toying with pursuing CFA/CFP.

At best, wasting time here may help springboard me to a new and more exciting career; at worst, I'll gain massive exposure to terms, topics, and details about industries that a decent segment of my clients and prospects hail from. As speaking on a topic without sounding like an idiot is about 80% of what I do, that's still valuable.

Either way, I win.

Looking forward to arguing with college undergrads!

Cheers,

-gijoey762

Fledgling - a person or organization that is immature, inexperienced, or underdeveloped.

No shit you're bored, why not just devote time to developing your current practice rather than jumping ship to a new line of work entirely... Having it made in PWM is pretty special.. assuming you're likely around the age of 30, why are you really contemplating other avenues?
