I see someone else also got a first round
Lol
they've been trying to fill this position for months I think. I had a friend in the process 3+ months ago and he said they were all dickhead robots. feel free to PM for more details on what to expect
Would be interested in hearing more about your buddy's experience. You're listed as anon
PM'd you
Interested in hearing your buddy's experience as well if you could PM me, happy new year too!
would greatly appreciate any insights you'd be willing to share as well. thanks so much in advance
Agreed - I interviewed with them a few years back and couldn't agree more on the dickhead robots comment.
I would also appreciate it if you can dig deeper into said dickhead robots' demeanors and the firm itself!
Is this for the Dallas office?
Posting was for NY, SF, Chicago, or MIA
Happy to share info on deals they did, platform, and where u can find the info -Whitehorse is a big time direct lender and will do non sponsor as well. Can take down large hold amounts of $100 plus
Any thoughts on Whitehorse competitors such as - Comvest Credit, Maranon, AB Private Credit?

Whitehorse can hold $100-120 if they like the deal and the pricing is right. They like to have "control" - not as interested in small tickets of $5 to good deals. They want to be in the front row. Some examples:
Comvest
AB Private Credit
Maranon
Helpful insight, thanks! Always appreciate your contributions on leveraged finance. Looking forward to when your course comes out
I appreciate that! I'm creating some premium quality materials to go into the Primer as we speak, as new ideas flow in. People are pressuring me to just "launch it, then edit/modify/add-to existing materials later", but I have to weigh that against the importance of reputation. creating a premier product, that is super-focused on certainty that any user - even high-schoolers, will conceptualize and understand the job from beginning to end, and see significant value. Goal is a product that prepares you "Day 1" for pretty much the job responsibilities throughout the life cycle of a deal. Goal is to be the "go-to" source for Lev Fin, Direct Lending, and eventually Restructuring (just outlined & started a mini-primer - need to speak to someone in the industry soon to get feedback). It's data-intensive (as opposed to existing primers that are general-speaking, broad-based), and takes time, but it's moving along. Any ideas or suggestions you have, hit me up.
I think Comvest stopped looking at the hairier deals coming their way, moving away from deep value, at least on the equity side. I really like them though, have dealt with a few people from there and all brilliant.
Hi All, just stumbled across this as have been contacted by a HH for a role in their team in London. Anyone has any insight on that? Would be keen to know more. Thanks for the help in advance.
Anyone have any more recent thoughts on HIG Whitehorse? Looks like they’ve had a pretty large amount of turnover. Wondering how the culture is and how people generally like working there.
Have a close friend that works there. Tough hours due to multiple reasons: a - they've been growing AUM pretty quickly so associates get staffed across 3-4 deals at a time; b - generally target hairier companies requiring more diligence; c - due to b, diligence process is more intensive than a lot of similar-sized shops (i.e. lots of data analysis, intensive memos that are more PE-like than typical PC). Friend told me that culture, in general, is positive and there is a push to hire more junior resources to reduce the workload but this is how it stands at the moment.
i've been told to avoid HIG at all costs bro, I will continue to do this!
Oh jeez — can you give me some more details? Not a great sign haha
just a general combination of shit pay, shit hours and bad culture, that's my reference from the Miami office though, but that may have changed (usually doesn't lol)
Weirdest interview I have ever had. Guy said it was informational, and after I asked a few generic questions he immediately cut me short and canceled all my following interviews as well.
WTF that's messed up. Did he say why at least?
