High COL West Coast Internship In-Person or Not?
Hi All,
I’m currently contemplating whether to go in person or not . I have an internship offer for 2021 at a well known buy side firm on the west coast. It will be for six weeks, and I’m not sure whether to go or not. I’m from a lower income household (and the firm only pays quite a little housing stipend, thus I would have to pay a bit for housing). My parents are really against me going so that I can ‘save my money’ but I really want to go for the experience, and to get facetime at the firm. Are my parents right in this case? I know they’re well intentioned, but I’m sure the experience in person would be 100% worth it if given the chance.
What is everyone’s take on this?
