High schooler seeking for an internship at banks

I’m currently a senior in high school and want to pursuit a finance major in college.Ultimately my goal is to work at IB. Is there any internships that I can do to get a head start or at least learn the basics ?

Interview skills super important- need to be able to reassure your interviewer that you are willing to sell your soul to the industry, and you should do great. But, genuinely, I'm still a novice in this sport but most benefits have been gleaned by consistently studying the industry from people you know, online resources, etc. You may not know what you're looking at or if it's helpful at first, but it all starts to coalesce into some level of understanding after a while. Full immersion.

He was recruited out of his summer analyst class at Dairy Queen for the analyst class of 2030 at BX. He started at the bottom of the food chain at by sweeping floors but when he hit a stride in his second summer by setting the regional league table record by serving 325 cones in just 2 hours.  BX say that this kid had potential and couldn't be caught sitting on the sideline letting talent like this get passed up.

Enjoy your summer while you can and earn some $$$. If you find an internship now, it will most likely be unpaid since you have 0 experience and aren’t in college yet. If that's okay with you while being in high school, kudos to you, man.

Here are some things you could do now that will help you once you’re a freshman in college.

  • Get good with excel, pp, and try to learn financial accounting (lots of free stuff online)
  • Get the FINRA SIE, CFA investment foundations certification on your resume if you can, shows initiative
  • Create a LinkedIn and network with people who work in IB (make sure you have something in common; same high school, town, etc.)
  • Follow the markets and sign up for a newsletter to keep up to date with what’s going on in finance
  • Work on your interviewing skills. If you do this now, shit, man, you’ll be good to go.

No.

For now just focus on having good grades and some extracurriculars to get into a good school. Get into reading. Learn a second language. Practice sports to stay healthy and fit (college babes are on the way). That will pay way more than some useless internships.

If you want to grab the basics, I recommend to start with Khan Academy, there is a finance course. If not, open Coursera and follow a course named Finance for Non-Finance professionals.
