Offhand I can only think of Tudor City, but you'll have to pay...

If you want to rent from an owner here are a few condos you might want to consider (not sure how much you want to spend):
1) 425 Fifth Ave (38th and 5th ave) - Fairly new construction (2003) with nice kitchen, etc - Doorman, gym, pool, resident's lounge, outdoor areas 2) 77 Park Ave (39th and Park) - Many of the units have been renovated - Doorman, laundry in building, and big spaces (900-1000 sq ft 1 bedrooms, ~1,300 sq ft 2 bedrooms). No gym though 3) 70 W 45th st (Cassa hotel and residences -- a little further away ~10 min walk) - This one is a little pricey (~$8,000 for 1 bedroom) but it is brand new with all the bells and whistles (if you care about that) - gym, doorman, elevator, washer/dryer, sub zero fridge, etc 4) 212 E 47th St - Recently renovated - doorman, valet, laundry room, gym, and rooftop deck. 1 bd ~$3,000-4,000.
If all else fails and you need more luxury you can always head to 100 E 50th st. for a nice $150K a month you get a 6,000 sq ft pad, not bad right?

I will be working near Grand Central Station. Where would it be advisable to live given that I will be working on Park Ave? It has been suggested that Midtown East/Gramercy/Murray Hill/Upper East Side might be a good idea. What do you think?
UBS or JPM? Congratulations regardless!
DB is right by UBS too right?
Nah, that's some building DB uses for operations etc. The HQ is 60 Wall St. That's where all ibanking and S&T offices are
You can live inside Grand Central. There is a community of homeless people that made homes in the abandoned sections of the station.
Then my next question is whether to live in a pile of rags, a cardboard box, or a fort of pitchbooks?
