How can I add more Personality into my Cover Letter?

Recently, I read an article which emphasized the importance of having your personality come through your cover letter. While having too much personality might lead to some memorable, and depending on the taste, effective, cover letters (see the hilarious cover letter attached), I was wondering how can the writer appropriately infuse his personality into his/her cover letter? Will writing in a more relaxed, casual language be appropriate? Will the odd joke be appropriate? In general, what lines can you use to put more personality into your cover letter?

Put a full page selfie as a watermark. They won't forget it. Personality you say? Check.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Former recruiter checking in; delicate balance needed. Barstool humor is too far but lame shit screams squid.

In summaries on my resume, I've sprinkled humor in. For example "Oprah Level listening skills" "Closing so much the CFO started calling me MoneyMay" etc, etc.

You dont have the real estate to write a joke.

Pick a skill and attach an embellishment to it.

With all that said, cover letters generally don't make the decision.
