How can you impress a private equity firm without going through headhunters or prior working relationship?
So I'm trying to make a mover into PE from Asset Management and want to know what things I could do to impress a PE firm. I know that if you're recruiting for a hedge or mutual fund, you'd work on a couple of pitches and submit with your resume. What would you do for PE? Particularly if you're not going through a headhunter or not coming directly from an investment bank, how could you convince a PE firm to give you a shot at an interview?
