how do I deal source?
I'm in a family office heading up the in-house capital group.
It's a real estate business, and I need to source deals.
I'm a one-man band.
I've already contacted all the brokers, and am trying to get in touch with other developers to co-develop and share deals.
Anyone got any ideas or tips on deal sourcing?
Please PM me. I work with alot of family offices and could offer some guidance
If you could share on this thread, I think the WSO community would appreciate the insights.
Second
Do you use Co Star/Loop Net?
One great way is to develop relationships with developers. They will make sure you have healthy deal flow in exchange for offering them promote. PM me if you want to deploy 7+ figure equity checks into value add office deals...
So we are a small developer ourselves.
We are investing into Asia. So the thing is, should I be pinging the brokers? Because they just show us stabilized deals or land that's in crap locations. So far, they haven't shown us anything we can use. But I keep trying. I've pinged other developers, but they are largely not looking for additional capital. Struggling to figure out where else I should look. I've tried commercial bankers who may have distressed clients but so far no luck.
if you want to park 100-200mm with a US interest rates Relative Value Stat Arb hedge fund...i'd be happy to take that money off your hands...
Thanks, but no thanks.
Not within our mandate. Love the gumption though. If you're not pitching - you can't be closing =)
