How do I go about asking connections to pull my resume once SA recruiting begins?

I'm currently a sophomore at a non-target school. With a near perfect GPA, relevant clubs, and a strong internship this summer. I'm currently seeking a SA role for 2020. However, coming from a non-target I feel my only chance is getting someone on the inside to reference me. I've been networking with numerous people I feel I have a decent connection with, but I was wondering how I ask them to flag my resume when applications open without being pushy.

People understand what you want, no one is thinking that you are reaching out because you want more friends. Once you apply, send them an email letting them know and that you would love to get on the phone again to discuss the opportunity you applied for more in depth. At the end of the phone call ask them if there is anything they feel you should do to better position yourself for an interview. If they are a decent connection they will refer you, they know what to do.

While your right, you certainly shouldn't be pushy, also keep in mind that people are never going to hand things to you. If you want something, you can either ask for it or take it, theres no other way.
