How do you get an internship in your second year

Hello guys. I'm Michael, a Hong Kong-based newbie in WSO. Although I study economics and finance in college, I still struggle with my internship, given that my GPA is 3.0 out of 4.0 and I don't really have many connections in the field. While it is easy for me to get a job selling insurance, I don't wanna be like that; instead I'm more interested in asset management and sales/trading stuff. Any tips for newbies like me? Many thanks!
