How do you guys sit all day

Refer to title. How tf do you guys sit in a chair, hunched over all day.

I'm not talking about the long hours or anything like that. I just literally feel a slight tightness in my neck and back every night when I go to bed and cannot imagine how I will feel in 10 years of this.

and yes I do workout 5x a week (but open to hearing what you guys do other than lift weights to offset being a human chair)

I also splurged on a new desk chair. Had an older Herman Miller from over a decade ago that was nearing end of life so bought a Steelcase Gesture. Expensive but basically assumed I would be working from home through 2021. Definitely some more economical options that have good support out there though too.

With the start of WFH last year I re-designed many areas in my apartment and have multiple places where I can work from. One is my desk, but I can also work from another place near my balcony where I sit on a large ball and against a wall. My kitchenette has a sizeable breakfast area from where I also dial in - here I stand & work (removed the bar stools).

But on a random Friday I can also be found dialing into a meeting from my bed.

The more flexibility, the better for your back.

I just go wherever to work now. If it's not windy, I'll generally just go outside somewhere and work. This usually means that you get to walk around way more often than usual and I often find myself just randomly standing and doing work. I can't do that everyday since weather isn't perfect, but I don't have much space in my 200ft^2 bedroom, and no good place in a common area in my apartment.

I have the herman miller aeron since last november

major difference after few weeks of getting used to it
