How does a non diversity get into sophomore programs?

To the non-diversity, how did you get into some of these sophomore programs?

Incoming freshman at a semi-target/target (Think UVA UNC BC Ross) and I want to know what it takes for non diversity to get into these sophomore programs such as the Citi SLP and BAML program.

I am not considered diversity, but I am first gen low-income if that helps at all.

I will look through the thread more about how to network, but how early are we talking? Beginning of freshman fall? Now? Or freshman spring once I have some grades to show?

Can confirm Citi SLP is not diversity only. That being said the program is more competitive than their junior SA program with a acceptance rate below 1%.

I'm not sure what that means, but I am a straight Asian (Vietnam/Thailand) Male. Damn, there's no love for low-income students?

I never understood why low income Asians were never included in diversity programs. There is a world of difference between the experience of a Laotian/Vietnamese immigrant and rich, educated Chinese/South Asian ones.

Of course, most of these diversity programs at colleges and firms are just for show, and do nothing to actually help the socioeconomically disadvantaged, so go figure.
