How hard is it to get into non-MBB consulting from a non-target (UCSD)
I'm going to be enrolling in UCSD this fall most likely, and I was wondering how difficult it is to break into non-MBB consulting. Consulting interests me, and while it sounds like MBB has its major benefits, it seems like that's pretty out of the question for a non-target. Also, is there a location benefit from being near two of the biggest cities in America? Thanks for any help
I don’t work at MBB, am currently at a T2 firm. There’s definitely UCSD folks here and I have a buddy in my starting class who went to UCSD.
Do you have any idea what he majored in. Also where is the firm located?
He studied accounting and economics. Our firm is global, think ATK/EYP/LEK/OW/S&. I just happen to be in Boston and my buddy is in a west coast office. Happy to discuss more if you send me a PM!
Yea easy as. Went to LMU and am in a tier 2 strategy firm
I also am considering LMU. I was accepted to the honors college there. How is the comp and career progression? Also what did you major in?
