How important is networking for on-cycle recruiting?
Hi, first year analyst at a top MM bank. Was wondering how important networking is for buy-side recruiting if I’m interest in UMM/MF. If my group doesn’t place that well into PE, should i be trying to network with alumni to get me in the process or is that the HH job?
Thanks!

Are you planning on not networking? How would you know if you’d even like working at the fund?
Just wondering if it helps with getting an interview. Have talked to plenty of people but wasn’t sure if funds refer people for interviews
Not helpful. We get a stack of resumes from HH and go from there.
Do you have a GPA cutoff? What really stands for you in a resume? Deal experience? Bank?
