How is it like for a trader on a systematic hedge fund?
I have been invited to an interview for a trader position on a hedge fund. This specific firm is only focussing on systematic and model based investments, in which I expect that the actual trading primarily is determined and executed via these systems and models.
To this I have some mixed impressions, however I really don't know enough, and online resources have been scarce. So, if there are any HF traders here who work or have worked for any firms with only systematic and model based investments I would like to ask the following:
What would constitute a work day/week?
Was it fun/challenging/interesting?
Do you feel that you've gained competencies that could, in some sense, be on par with the competencies of a trader on a big bank or more discretionary hedge fund?
