How is IB at Oppenheimer? I know it's not the greatest, but wondering if it would still be a good place to work with decent exits?

heard return offer rates for SAs are super low, but would like confirmation

no idea why they don't give out more return offers though. either interns are just that bad or they all had FT offers/superdays i guess
Should have mentioned that I am talking about FT
Two or three years ago the return offer rates for summers was like 50%. Definitely not the best. Idk if it got better like that guy said below.

Friends with 3 interns that were there and literally all of them got offers. In addition, they told me every other intern got offers. Supposedly this is the only year this has happened.
Had a superday with them for FT last fall - its a pretty solid shop in my opinion. Their strongest groups are HC and M&A, and from what I've heard a good number of their analysts exit to MM PE. They even had a guy go to KKR a year or two ago, although that's definitely an exception. Feel free to PM me if you want, couldn't tell you as much as anyone who actually works there but can probably add some color.
How was the interview?
Depends on the interviewer, usually pretty technical.
It was set up differently than any of the other superdays I went to. They invited 24 people total to the final rounds, split up between two fridays with 12 people each. The 12 people that come in on a given day were then split up into 3 groups of 4 people, with each group interviewing with a different set of interviewers (with each set consisting of roughly 1 analyst, 1 associate, 1-2 VPs/Directors, and 1-2 MDs). An offer was then given to one candidate from each group, which makes sense since a set of interviewers would only meet with the four of the 12 candidates in that day. But in essence, you're only competing with 3 of the 23 other people invited to the final round.

Yes dude, it's a solid MM shop... Check out their closed deals or ask specific questions... I'm not sure what it is that you're expecting to hear by asking the same thing over and over
Dude, if you look through my thread you will notice not a single person commented on how good the firm is. You were talking about the interview process, and other kids were talking about return offers for interns.
I'm asking for general opinions on Oppenheimer, which include, but not limited to the culture of the firm, the exit opps, pitching vs working on live deals, etc.
