How is the Ralph Lauren brand perceived on the street (going out clothing) ?
I hear no logo is the best way to go, but I have a "dad bod" going on so the Ralph Lauren dress shirts fit me the best so far out of all the shirts I've tried. Is the fit similar to Brooks Brothers? This is for going out, not office wear.
I think Ralph Lauren shirts for going out is perfectly fine tbh. They're quite nice and look professional.
I personally don't wear Ralph Lauren shirts, but I see other people wearing them -- I think it's fine though.

Their button-downs are fine. However, if you get their tacky polos with the huge logo and the word "POLO" written on the chest, you'll like a sweaty Indian code monkey.
What about the polo with the tiny logo?
Pro-tip from someone also in the workforce - try to avoid logos as much as possible. Go to Jcrew or somewhere of the sort, and by shirts in assorted blues and some white shirts with patterns. Avoid the bullshit with logos on it, makes you look pretentious/still in college.
The two rules to business wear (casual and formal): 1. no logos, 2. nothing that'll make you memorable in a crowded bar. Flashing logos is essentially telling the word: "this is the best I've got". No matter the brand, logos are always perceived badly, i.e. "social climber, douchebag, lame..." Your RL selection is fine as long as you ditch the pony
.
They look fine as long as the logo is small. Hate those huge f´ing horses.
I like the quality and the fit on some of the shirts. As long as you dont wear it to work you are fine.
