It's fine. Apply for Wall Street for McCombs if you aspire to go to NYC, as the network within this group is extremely helpful (a swath of the current juniors in it are going to GS NYC this summer) - it's also helpful with Houston but less necessary. Follow the advice on WSO with respect to the recruiting timeline, keep your grades up, and network with students/teachers/alumni, and you should be fine.

0% chance. Banks actively discriminate against non-BHP kids even if you have a 4.0. Might as well give up now

Sure...0% chance if you're a bum and give zero shits about networking. Have seen a good amount of non-BHP hustle and get offers. At the end of the day though you are at a disadvantage because of worse branding but it is still possible.

Yeah dude you are dead wrong. Plenty of non-BHP getting top BB and EB SA and FT offers. Maybe even more, if not at leas equivalent to BHP. An upperclassmen once told me. There are 500 finance majors, 200 say they wanna do IB, 60 have are good enough for a chance, 30 will hopefully get offers
