How is work/life balance in Economic Consulting?
Just recently accepted a job offer and was wondering if anyone could shed some light into WLB and hours worked. I recently accepted an offer in econ consulting at a top firm, which I am very grateful for, but at the same time am getting cold feet.
So how is WLB at econ consulting?
How many hours on average do you work per week? Do you find it stressful? Do you regret working as an econ consultant?
To those who gone into grad school, how did you manage studying/prepping for GRE/GMAT while working?
To those who transitioned into a different industry like corporate strategy or data analyst/data science, how did you do it? Did you network with people who already made such transitions?
Thanks for taking the time and helping me out! I'm also open to DMs if anyone wants to discuss privately.
