How low is BoA analyst comp?
I was speaking to a few undergrads recently and they told me that they weren't applying to BoA because their starting is so much lower than other banks. (base $20-30k lower vs other BBs) Not sure how BoA's bonus is structured but is this true? At the associate level, I've never heard of such gap - although none of my classmates went to BoA.
False - those undergrads are clueless.
Yeah thought it was weird
Base is at par with street
Lol are you sure they aren't looking at the average glassdoor salary that also includes non-IBD roles?
Yeah I do not trust glassdoor for specific careers at all.
lol, pretty sure BofA is one the higher paying BBs.
can confirm - an1 bofa
How so?
Omg..fking clueless undergrads. Think they now talk about "exit opps" and "most prestigious M&A groups", damn.
How's your industry coverage group
I worked at BofA in IB.. made 175k (95k base + 80k bonus) as an A2 (my last year at the firm).
you made 175 as an analyst?
Yeah 175k for a second year analyst is pretty much street comp imo if you're a solid performer
Lol I had similar experience while taking one of those virtual coffee chats. College juniors talking like they've been doing banking for 2-3 years lol. Gotta love the Gen Z
