How many people include LinkedIn on CV?

Interested to hear how many people do this. personally I feel my profile doesn't add anything new that I haven't already mentioned in my CV but I feel like I should consider including in my CV.

Let me know your thoughts

Thanks for replying. Do you think it adds anything you have not included in your CV?

It depends who is asking for it and why. Recruiters/HHs sometimes ask to be added on your LI so they can add to their network, but also to verify if your written resume matches the digital variant.

you can even check indirect references with it, say if someone is telling he/she worked at GS for five years, adding them on LI can verify if they have contacts in that firm, etc.

I am no longer on LI after they kicked me out, they falsely accused me of hacking my own account after moving countries and my IP/region changed.

This is soo backwards though, and i’m not even necessarily getting on to you. I just can’t believe people i.e. recruiters follow people on LinkedIn just to verify if they have connections at the firm to essentially guarantee that they’ve actually been at the firm. I’ve been at my firm for a while now and only have like 1-2 connections added on LinkedIn and just talk to people normally in and around the firm and to be added on LI just never comes up. I find it rather strange that HHs will do this
