How many suits do I need for SA?

Starting SA soon in SF and I don't yet have a decent suit - the one that I wore for interview fits really badly. How many suits should I get for my SA? Honestly don't think any one would even notice, but should one be enough or do I need at least two?

One is fine. If you're in San Francisco, you'll probably be wearing company vest/fleece most of the time instead of your suit jacket anyway. Just make sure you buy +1-2 extra pants when you're getting your suit in case of wear-and-tear

Have you read up on the firms dress code? Highly likely you will be fine with one. I would recommend wearing it day 1 and from there you could rotate your outfits with 1-2 sport coats.

Seconded. You aren't really gonna wear your suit vests that often. And it's more comfortable to wear Pata corporate vest if you can get your hands on it. In the winter just wear a peacoat. Suit vests aren't really necessary unless client/high exec. level meetings.

To be clear I wasn't talking about the vests but rather the blazer unless you're outside the US and call suit jackets a vest. I have yet to see a suit "vest" worn outside of TV shows in both banking or PE.

I bought 2, 2 different colours and 2 different shoes, 2 different belts. I also bought one waistcoat and it acts as a third suit for me. I've gotten a few compliments from the girls for it (just saying). I've got 3 shirts, one for each shirt and then another €10 white one in case I fuck one up.

Waistcoats look good IMO (female perspective). A shirt on it’s own never looks as formal as a shirt+waistcoat.
