How much do referrals help for BoFA?
I know that some BBs have gotten rid of their referral system completely and now the whole recruiting process is solely based on Hirevue/Interviews. Wondering whether BoFA falls in that category or does networking there still help? Thanks
Only JPM has done that
From speaking with people at the firm, it sounds like Bank of America has largely kept networking as an integral part of their recruitment process. They will have each group send in resumes of people they have talked to at the analyst level. Not sure how seniors are able to impact it.
A lot. I absolutely bombed the hirevue, and my contact’s referral completely bailed me out. Ended up getting the offer and now an intern
Had a referral from VP and associate, definitely think it got me the Hirevue. At least last year, BofA was selective about who they gave Hirvues to (unlike many other banks that give to most people that clear GPA requirement). Alumni also offered some tips on superday ahead of time when I reached out
facts, the only reason I got a hirevue was thru a connection.
for SA 2020, a referral from an analyst got me a hirevue then a superday
Current SA, networked with nobody and still got the offer
Which Ivy did you go to?
Does this matter even more for sophomore SA?
Depends on whether or not you're diversity
