How much time does it take you to decide whether to move a candidate to the next round?
Let's say you have a 1st/2nd round phone interview with a candidate and you have 10 candidates to go through that morning. Does it really take up all half hour to make up your mind about which one you want to progress to the next round or superday? Do you usually have a good idea after 5-10 minutes of talking?
Ya i'd say max 5 minutes you have a great understanding
How would you decide? Through behavioral or technical or just feelings?
Combination of what their resume looks like/how they sound/answer questions..it's pretty clear how an interview is going to go after a few minutes. Although there are exceptions (e.g. some target kid with a high GPA that articulates starts botching easy technicals).
