How to make deal sourcing sound good on resume?
Any tips on how to make a deal sourcing/business development internship at a PE firm look good for IB recruiting? I want to refrain from seeming like it's just a sales job, but have not done any modeling or real financial analysis. Maybe something about reading CIMs, writing NDAs, interacting with brokers? What have people done in the past and what will IB recruiters want to see on your resume with this type of experience?
Much appreciated
You can try Acquisitions advisor. My question: How would you create an agreement to secure a royalty interest/maximum interest from a business introduction. Introducing both parties to one another is a non-renewable resource and the future of new business is bigger. Assume both parties are hotelliers and you bring them togther to do a deal...ie One buying shares/interests in the other or an M&A or LBO deal?
Care to clarify?
Do you have any results you can show ie so many opportunities sourced, advanced to x stage, etc
You can write general business analysis stuff too if you were reading cims and making short pitches for some companies
How much value does a deal-sourcing / research internship add to the resume (Originally Posted: 08/29/2017)
Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate some inputs into this question.
Besides interns in big companies, students at boutique shops usually do not have that many opportunities to do financial modeling. So, how much value (suppose that the intern does a respectable amount of work during internship) does this kind of experience add to someone's resume?
Thank you
I think it's as valuable as you can spin it and relate to skills you need in finance
