Those aren’t very common in the US.

But to answer your question, I think this forum puts too much weight on “closed” deals. If you bring a process all the way to the finish line, but the final party has a hiccup that causes the deal to die right before your firm gets paid, your experience isn’t any less valuable.

Plenty of people will list deals on their resume that are ongoing or didn’t close. It’s definitely important that you have live deal experience but having a “closed” deal isn’t the most important aspect.

What if you’re staffed on a deal that closes but you barely did any work on it?What good is that experience to you? No good.
