How to apply for small local banks internship
Hi,
I'm a freshman pursuing a role in Investment Banking or management consulting. I am currently interning as a research analyst from a search fund start up for this summer. For the upcoming fall semester, I want to get an internship from a small local bank (assuming this way is probs the highest chance for me) hopefully dealing with more of a hands-on finance industry experience.
How do I approach them? Pretty sure they have not even posted an internship job post or somthing like that.
I'm kind of worried that they could feel awkward when I just go to the bank and ask for an internship.
Any advice for me to properly approach them and successfully nail an internship?
*I am a freshman who just finished his FIRST semester at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I'm really a novice when it comes to finance industry (financial modeling, valuation methods or whatnot).
Thank you so much!
Oh also, I'm an international student from Korea, and I can't get paid for working outside my school till this year. So I'm gonna have to ask for an unpaid internship.
