How to file taxes as an intern

Hi this is my first post on this platform. Can anyone help me figure this tax stuff out? I had a previous internship that was unpaid so I did not have to worry about taxes. My current internship is paid and this will be my first month at the company. I am technically a 1099/contractor for the company but have not received form 1099-NEC and am paid electronically through direct deposit. When should I file taxes and what is the best way to do so? I have not had to do so in the past so please excuse my ignorance
