I interviewed a well-known boutiquefirm in New York 2 weeks ago. I was interviewed by research head and an research analyst. I think I did good on technical questions and introducing my qualifications. I completed their test, which is writing a earning note and updating based on the current quarterly earning release. I got relied saying I did good on the test and would hear back in a week (should be this week).
I really want this job and this company is definitely an ideal place for me to start my equity research career. ( I worked in a boutique IB for 1 year) I want to spend some efforts to prove that I am really eager to have this job. I was thinking to find interesting news about the analyst's covered companies and try to raise some topics to show my interests and passion. Is this a good idea to follow up again? (I definitely has sent thank you letter after interview). Is there any other way that I can follow up again to show my determination or tremendous interest? Thank you for helping me out. I would really appreciate it.
