How to get into HIG Capital from BB

Hey guys, incoming first year here (BB) and I was wondering which firms it is easiest to get to the Miami or NYC office of HIG Capital for or if the process is super hard or less hard than more competitive firms. Excuse if this is too early, but I was wondering what banks have an easier time transitioning into HIG as well as what the actual comp is like comparatively. Thanks in advance.

Not a troll at all, my goal is to go to Miami after Wall Street and I do not know any other Miami firms. I'm completely serious, can you offer any assistance?

As others have commented, HIG is a very solid UMM shop but has a negative reputation for being a sweatshop. PE recruiting in general is a crapshoot but being at a BB or EB will put you in a good place for a first round. Just submit your resume through GoBuyside (no HH)

Trivest is also very solid with great returns but they're squarely lower middle market. Arguably a better experience than a big fund but you won't be looking at big sexy deals. Sun Capital has a very similar rep to HIG but is still pretty solid. There are a handful of additional funds in the Miami area but not too many.

I would check out the associate profiles on each of these guys websites and reach out for informationals with the ones you have something in common with. Any solid BB or EB or MM firm should get you looks in Miami if you've got ties to the area.
