How to get into Ops from a non-target?

non-target college grad with a 3.0 GPA in business mgmt...would like to get a job in Ops in Deleware (JPM, BofA, CapOne, etc..).

These ops jobs seem to only require attention to detail...why is it so hard to even get an interview?
Applied to many online job postings...never even got an interview?

Regardless of what the job requires, these big banks are going to get a ton of job apps and unfortunately one of the easiest ways to sort through potential talent is by GPA/School. Networking is going to be one of your best friend if you want a job at a BB Bank. Look up alumni on LinkedIn or your school alumni directory (if they have one) and reach out to them. Ask them if you can call and talk or grab some coffee. Having someone you can put down as a reference or who can vouch for you could be the difference between getting an interview or not. As a non-target graduate, doing this made all the difference for me and a ton of my friends.

Your GPA is too low. You need to bring it up to at least a 3.5 to get past the resume screen but coming from a non-target push that number to 3.8+. If you cannot do this focus on networking. Read this website more to understand the difficulty of finding jobs at BB's. Good luck.
