How to sign off for the night

I work on a very small team that sits together and some nights I can theoretically leave by 10 or so because I've finished my immediate work. Obviously given the chance I'd like to leave as soon as possible to get any amount of sleep I can get.

My issue is finding the best, most inconspicuous way to exit. Asking the staffer is always risky, but they also happen to be the one two ranks above me whom I work with on some projects. Asking him in person is awkward because I don't want to broadcast to the group that I'm leaving way earlier than everyone else. Also, usually my analyst I work under is chill with me leaving right away.

Question to you y'all is: on nights when you can leave early, how do you do it?

I typically just leave if there isn’t something immediate like comments or waiting on a deal announcing the next morning or something. I don’t say anything or announce it. It’s sort of expected that unless you have actual work you go home. Keep your blackberry on you when you’re awake and you’re solid. Don’t burn yourself out just fucking around for stupid face time late in the night. No work, no office. Simple as that.
