How to Lateral from boutique or smaller bank to BB or top 5 bank
Canadian student science 3rd year student here from semi-target, 3.9 GPA. Was not able to land an internship this summer due to missing the application as my plan was to attend medical school. However, I am very interested in investment banking and always have been, been taking some finance and Econ classes. At this point I know there is no chance I could get into a Canada top 5 bank or BB, but I’m thinking there may be a slight chance I could get into a smaller boutique bank. Just wondering what the realistic chances of lateraling to a Canada big 5 bank or a BB branch in Canada? Thanks
