How to make a good Linkedin profile
There was a great post on cringe-worthy Linkedin profiles recently.
https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/cringewort…
but what's the flip?
How do you guys construct good Linkedin profiles to maximize job-getting potential?
Not do those things
lol. Thanks. Was hoping for a more nuanced response.
1. Not write in third person
2. Not have the cliche: "Experienced XXX with a demonstrated history of working in the YYY industry."
3. Have a meaningful heading, i.e. don't put "BBB University Student" (that's too vague, you need to list a major) or "Caddy at AAA Country Club" or "Cashier at LLL's Pizza,"
4. We all know what a golf caddy does. And we all know what a cashier does. Don't try to take stupid jobs like that and make them seem like rocket science.
5. Don't list "Student" under the "Experience" section. I don't know why people do this.
6. Have a nice picture. Don't have your entire pledge class in the picture with you, don't have your girlfriend/boyfriend with you, and anything else like that. Just you in the photo.
For once I was actually agreeing with your post.. until the very last line. Come on, man.
