How to prepare for Summer research analyst position at an investment management firm?
I recently took an offer for a four month work term as a research analyst an investment firm. I am hoping to impress my higher ups and leverage this position into further work terms, and eventually a full time position once I finish my degree.
I have a few weeks before I start and would like to get a head start so that I can immediately impress and demonstrate that I am completely capable and an asset. I have discussed with my boss what roles and duties I will be doing, and from my understanding I will be involved with a lot of the grunt work of launching some new ETF's. I have experience with capital markets with my own trading, (Stocks, options, ETF's), but I know that working under a larger corporate banner will force me to learn new skills.
Are there any skill's that I could pick up now? Any tips of what is expected? How can I position myself to succeed?
Thanks
